“At the beginning of a project, any number of things can happen to change our scope and involvement,” says Denise McIntosh, CEO of Integrated Containment Systems (ICS). “Once a client starts to understand the extent of our capabilities, we find ourselves doing more and more.” This was certainly the case with a project we’ll call, Project Tag team.
Originally, ICS received a request to build a high-containment isolator for a new pharmaceutical client. Intended for high potency ingredients, the isolator included a clean-in place skid, alpha-beta valves, and a rapid transfer port. While reviewing the delivery schedule with our fabrication partner, Custom Powder Systems (CPS), our client asked if we could provide other stainless elements for this and other projects,” comments McIntosh.
Over the next few weeks, ICS and CPS agreed to build:
Each piece carried very specific design/build criteria and the ICS/CPS team delivered. “They got each of the orders because of their willingness and ability to build exactly what we needed,” said one of the client’s project managers. “Having one group that we could rely on for such a variety of fixtures and equipment was key to our success.”
Repeat business and client continuity are trademarks of Custom Powder Systems and Integrated Containment Systems. “We don’t claim to be perfect,” says Bob Luebbe, general sales manager for CPS, “but our team’s ability to build to spec and respond to issues turns customers into lifetime clients.”
